United Against Hate was created by civic leaders in direct response to the sharp rise in expressions of hate in our communities. We want to empower local residents to take action in their local communities and alter the course of this growing intolerance.

Against Hate Week Resolution
During the September meeting of the Board of Commissioners, a Resolution was passed declaring September 21 – 27, 2024 United Against Hate Week. In the declaration, Cook County recommits to welcoming all people and promoting important Cook County resources that support people and communities that are victims or witnesses of hate.
Advocate Online - Social Toolkit
We made it easy for you to spread the word about United Against Hate Week with our digital social media toolkit. Complete with sample posts, graphics, and video prompts, we hope that you will turn to it often to amplify the United Against Hate Week message. Don't forget to use the #CookCountyUnitedAgainstHate hashtag when posting!
Start a Conversation - Post a PSA
Display any number of our public service announcement-style graphics to let those around you know why you stand up to hate! This graphics can be used on social media, billboards or digital displays to start a conversation about the importance of taking action against hate in our communities.
